About This Role
Big partnerships rarely stall over a weak proposal. They stall when nobody senior enough is in the room to connect a client's business problem to the right solution, or when trust quietly erodes before the contract gets signed.
The Head of Business Development at GEEK Up is our Deal Architect for the most complex, highest-value partnerships. Your job is to turn a client's business and technology challenges into a partnership they trust enough to sign, and to carry that deal — end to end — with full ownership.
In this role, you will:
- Own the deal end to end: lead high-value opportunities from first business conversation to signed contract.
- Architect the partnership: shape how GEEK Up and the client will work together, not just what they will pay.
1. Key Responsibilities
- Opportunity Ownership: Lead and manage the progression of complex, high-value opportunities — from first business conversation to signed contract — for top-tier enterprise accounts.
- Partnership Structuring: Translate a client's business problem into a structured partnership offer: the collaboration model, the engagement roadmap, the commercial shape.
- Tech-Strategic Engagement: Hold credible, direct conversations with a client's technology and digital transformation leadership — confident enough to shape their thinking and move the deal forward yourself.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Bring in Product Consulting, Proposal Handling and Sales Ops at the right moments, and keep them pointed at the same outcome.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Find the real sponsors and influencers inside complex client organizations, and keep them aligned on the proposed approach.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead pricing strategy and contract negotiation, protecting GEEK Up's margin and positioning.
- Decision Discipline: Back every decision with evidence — an opportunity strategy canvas, a stakeholder map — rather than opinion.
2. Key Performance Indicators
- Deal Value: Total contract value signed, weighted toward complex, top-tier accounts.
- Speed: Time from first conversation to signed contract on high-value deals.
- Win Quality: Win rate on the opportunities that are genuinely the right fit.
- Discipline: Decisions and deals consistently backed by evidence, not opinion — and the relationship protected before any delivery work starts.
