About This Role
As an HRBP, your mission is to support our members so they can do their best work and continuously grow themselves on their Geek Adventure. Driven by an Agile mindset, you will own and facilitate key internal human-centric domains-specifically managing Geek Onboarding, People Connection, and People Contribution & Compensation.
Rather than running a traditional, rigid human resources function, you will act as an empathetic, strategic partner to the Clan, Chapter Cores, and Squads. You will ensure that GEEK Up has the right people in the right place, fully optimized to create and realize sustainable value for both themselves and the business.
Key Responsibilities
Geek Onboarding
- Onboarding Design & Adaptation: Collaborate with Chapter Cores and Squads to customize and build tailored onboarding plans (OBD Plans) that fit the specific competencies and seniorities of new members.
- Welcoming Experience: Own and enhance touchpoints along the new member journey, ensuring a strong sense of belonging, and creating psychological safety from day one.
- Orientation & Alignment: Facilitate orientation sessions to help new members rapidly absorb GEEK Up's Ways of Working (WoW), enabling them to achieve "small wins" early on.
- Fitting & Verification Framework: Monitor execution progress during the first months to actively verify expectations, align competencies, and collaboratively manage onboarding risks or offboarding checkpoints early.
People Connection
- Relationship & Community Maintenance: Foster close human connections, helping members navigate flat structures, resolve interpersonal conflicts, and gain cross-functional support.
- Growth & Engagement Advisory: Conduct regular health checks and milestone pulse catch-ups to evaluate engagement patterns, internal motivation, and overall cultural alignment.
- Psychological & Cultural Support: Serve as a trusted baseline coach for Geeks, bridging the gap between individual career aspirations and the business model.
People Contribution & Compensation
- Contribution Framework Design: Partner with leadership and Chapter Cores to define clear, transparent evaluation frameworks that measure impactful contributions (Product Mindset, Ownership, Tech Delivery) rather than just manual effort.
- Agile Review & Feedback Loops: Facilitate performance review cycles and retrospective-based evaluations, ensuring feedback on contributions is continuous, constructive, and actionable.
- Value-Based Compensation Strategy: Oversee and optimize the compensation, benefits, and rewards structures to ensure alignment with market standards and internal equity, reflecting GEEK Up's Value Proposition (GU VP).
- Growth & Recognition Alignment: Bridge the gap between a member's growth milestones and their financial/non-financial rewards, ensuring that high ownership and co-creation mindsets are visibly celebrated and compensated.
