ABOUT THE JOB
The Head of Business Development is a senior leadership position, primarily responsible for shaping and executing the company's overarching revenue growth strategy. This role transcends traditional sales by focusing on market positioning, forging strategic partnerships, and leading the team to achieve significant, long-term growth. You will be the visionary, driving key business initiatives, and personally closing complex, high-value deals.
KEY RESPONSIPILITY
1. Strategic Leadership & Market Growth
- Strategy Formulation: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and assess risks to inform strategic business decisions.
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key partners, major clients, and industry stakeholders/influencers.
2. Lead Generation
- Opportunity Identification: Develop and oversee the process for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
- Pipeline Management: Strategically manage a robust pipeline of high-value prospects, ensuring a consistent flow of potential deals.
- Market Penetration: Lead initiatives to penetrate new markets, target key accounts, and expand the company's reach.
3. High-Level Deal Leadership & Negotiation
- Major Deal Closing: Directly manage and lead the entire sales cycle for complex, high-value enterprise-level deals.
- Strategic Negotiation: Lead sophisticated commercial negotiations, handle objections, and successfully close strategic agreements.
- Value Positioning: Position and articulate the company's core value proposition compellingly to a diverse audience of high-level decision-makers.
4. Team Management & Development
- Lead by Influence: Build and lead a high-performing Business Development team by inspiring and empowering them, rather than relying on positional authority. Foster a collaborative environment where every member feels ownership and is motivated to contribute to shared goals.
